Thank you all so much for your compliments! I have decided to do a pillow and a 4 block wallhanging to go with the second quilt that I am making from this pattern -- it has no flowers and does have more geometrics in hopes that a boy will like it better.
Ranger, the pattern is in September/October 2005 of Fons and Porter under the "Witches Workshop" spread. The tutorial is also on the Fons and Porter website.

what a terrific quilt!!! i recently did a wonky quilt where you cut and mix several at once. adding the 'edge' to the separate pieces would be a better idea for the pattern i used.

What a fabulous quilt and you are right, some young person will love it....I am going to be 70 in a couple of months and I would love it myself. It is so colorful and so cheerful. You did an incredible job indeed.
