    Marie's quilt...........

This is my friend, Marie's, quilt....... isn't it gorgeous. She made it, about 90%, at our quilt retreat. I knew it would be SCRUMPTIOUS! She designed it, machine embroidered the flowers and I quilted. The quilt measures 78 x 99" and those little blocks are 1 1/2" square!!!! The batting is Warm and White and I used Metro Embroidery thread. The quilt is very pastel.....I had to enhance the colors so we could see the quilting.

How long was your quilt retreat? Two years. It would take me that long to sew it all together. It's beautiful and your quilting is perfect. Great job by both of you.

It is a beautiful quilt, love the colors and the embroidery. Of course the quilting is perfect. Did you do each 1 1/2" square at a time, looks almost like you changed colors? Is this so?

MartiMorga.......yes, I did each color in same color thread, but didn't do them separately. I followed the "path" of each color till I hit the front of the table, then back up again.

Dee you did it again. Your quilting is absolutely stunning. I can't wait to get it home and put the binding on it. I am going to name it Watercolor Garden. Thank you my friend.
