Default Mariners Compass Stars

This is from Carol Doaks book, Mariners Compass Stars. Ready for borders. I was thinking 2 1/2 inch white for first border and 5 inch black for outside.

Oh, I have seen this in a few of the quilt books and have thought about making one. You have me thinking. My dad was a navy man, when we lived in the Marshall Islands as a kid, we were always in the water and on boats. When I walk the dog at night, I so enjoy all the stars in the sky. You have me planning.

There were several options in Carol's book. I chose to place them on point, and it went without too much trouble. She provides a chart for sizes.
