removing the tissue paper isn't hard, as long as the stitching isn't really dense. It tears away very easily. I use this method a lot instead of marking on the quilt itself. I've had problems with some of the marking tools not coming off the quilt completely and leaving lines. So I'm leary of them, especially on a quilt that won't/can't be washed.
