this is "Doc". He's named after my grandpa who was a doctor and had peacocks on his farm. I made Doc himself many years ago in a class, learning to use metallic threads in the bobbin. He was done on a black fat quarter.

Timeless Treasures is now making a line of fabric called Plume, so I used that to make the background. I decided to cut away the background of Doc and will applique him on. I'm quilting each row of fabric with a different quilting pattern. The first row has my tissue paper pinned to it right now for a stipple design.

Wow, I love peacocks and have been on a major hunt for just the right fabrics. Love the peacock you made in class. Do you know if there is a pattern available? Thanks.
