Thanks also for the memories of Bella Napoli! Those do look like the tiles they love so much.
They also love marble. The place where I lived had marble staircases and floors. Plus beautiful tiles in almost every room. The 3 bedroom apartment I rented while there had 3 balconies. It was one of 3 apartments in a villa where the landlord had a very green thumb. All for only about $120 a month so my share was only $60 a month!
The landlord lived in the basement and insisted on his tenants having meals with him and his family. The Italians are such a happy, friendly people.
