Thank you, thank you , thank you for all your wonderful comments. I am so glad you said about liking the colours, it was very difficult to get the materials and I thought they were not going to work, but it did come together eventually.

Hi Lisa (jbstrawbery) glad you are back on line I have missed you. Glad you like it. Think it is just going to be there to cheer her up. We heard last night from her Mum that she is crying when Mummy leaves her at school and wouldn´t say what it was, however last night having her meal she just burst into tears and they eventually got it out of her what was wrong, seems that she is missing her Mummy very much when she is in school. Bless her, think maybe the new baby has made her feel a little insecure, sometimes that does happen. So the quilt will make her feel a bit more secure, and special.

That is gorgeous/ My youngest grandaughter is just 2 but maybe she'll want a mermaid someday. Did you make your own pattern?

JCL, yes I made up the pattern as I went along, The mermaid started off as a Nymph and I gave her a tail and added to it. The centre was a square we all did at out Group and is one of Ricky Timms Convergance design and it just kinda lent itself to this design.
