Default Mermaid Trails, first bargello quilt

Delivered this quilt tonight to celebrate 5 years cancer free for the recipient. She was tearful and loved it. My DH told me to tell her if she wasn't happy with it, he'd be glad to have it and I could make her a new one, but that isn't happening. LOL He rarely goes on about my quilts although he loves them and is proud of all I make, but he told me he thinks this one is my best of all so far.
I know how simple it is for a bargello, but I'm proud of it anyway. I do simple better than anything else.

Special thanks to board members who helped me with fabric selection and with mermaid fabric for the label. I have two more quilts to make that will get mermaid labels. My water exercise class teacher calls us her mermaids. It's for people with physical limitations due to illness, injury or age. Or in my case, all of those. LOL

The photo of the finished quilt is not great, as no one was tall enough to hold it up all spread out. You can get the idea tho.

Congratulations on a beautiful finish. Love your label. I’m sure it means a lot to the recipient.

It’s a beauty! What a kind way to celebrate with someone who has been through so much. I’m sure her response melted your heart. Also it was sweet of your hubby to compliment yiu so highly on your quilt. That’s always a bonus.
