Beautiful bag. You can buy the mesh at Lowes and probably Home Depot. It is found in the department where you would get screening for a screen sliding door. It is made especially for pets so they will not scratch/tear the regular screening. Its very reasonable, about $15 for enough to cover a sliding door drame. I have even made cosmetics from this vinyl screening. Great for the beach.

I've made a couple of these for grocery shopping and keep them in the car. Unfortunately, I keep forgetting to take them in when I shop! I made the largest size to take all my stuff to classes. I've bought the mesh at quilt shows and when I visited friends in AZ at Zoe's Trunk shop. I do find the mesh is very slippery and moves a lot when you sew it. My lines of stitching aren't the straightest because of this but for me they work just fine.
If you just want black mesh, I found pet screen at Wal Mart at a good price. Can't remember how many bags I got out of the roll but I did make one for my sis, her daughter, and me out of it for sure.

I have made these bags and I bought screening for a lot less at Home Depot etc. No, it only comes in black but the fabric gives it color. They are great baby bags abd also the beach. You don't need a pattern, just your imagination.
