A true scrappie. It is great. I have a few pieces that small and haven't decided to keep them or not.

A very beautiful scrappy indeed! I just love the applique in this quilt besides all the teeny tiny pieces. They go together wonderfully. She should be very proud.

What I wouldn't give to have that kind of patience. No instant gratification here, for sure. It is a beauty!

Holy Smokes, that is amazing!! Use over, Use up, the true mantra of a quilter from "back in the day". Are those foundation pieced?

Thank you for posting this quilt. I have a hard time throwing bits and pieces away and this is a wonderful tribute to what can be done with the bits if the quilter is talented, patient, and marvelously gifted. I cannot "see" things like your mother. My gift is to be a very good technician but sometimes that is soulless. I am bookmarking your post and will apply the lesson to a quilt I have in mind.

    Thank you both.

I totally LOVEEEEEEE this quilt. Not that I'd ever be able to make it, but it's awesome.

I believe UFOs are like scraps, ferns and dust bunnies. Once you get two, they send spores out into the air and more just happen anywhere the spores meet.
