Gorgeous! If Bonnie Hunter were to find this in an antique shop someday, she'd go on and on about it and how thrifty a quilter she must have been! I love it.

Absolutely beautiful and those are tiny, tiny squares and rectangles. Bless her heart to make something so beautiful out of tiny scraps.

This quilt is amazing, truly amazing and I really appreciate the change for scale. I can't believe anyone still does work like this with tiny pieces. What an heirloom for your family. Make sure your mother labels the quilt. Thank you so much.

I just had to share this with my husband. Both our mothers were quilters before they passed and we so appreciate any and all quilts. Tell your Mom that this is over and above awesome! Thanks for sharing.

I can't imagine having the patience to make a beautiful quilt like this. You have a very talented mother.

I agree with the others. It's an amazing scrappy quilt! And my husband thinks that working with 1.5" strips is small! Guess I show him this one!

What fun! I have made quite a few 1-inch postage stamp quilts, but this one has me beat for design and pizzazz. I would have no way of knowing how to do what she did.

Tell her that was a wonderful job. I have no patience for that small stuff. Want to make it and get it done. It would take me the rest of my life every day of it to try that.

Wow--I think she saves even smaller that I do, and I save 1" pieces! It's lovely, especially with the applique. Thanks for sharing.
