Finally finished! My mother collects whimsical frog figures and doo-dads for her garden. They are everywhere! So, when she requested a quilt for her newly redecorated sun room, naturally she wanted frogs  The pattern is a modified version of Splash Dance from the book Twosey Foursey Quilts by Cathy Wierzbicki. Each frog block is a different batik against the lime green background. The border looks black in the picture but is actually a dark green batik.

What a perfect quilt for your mom!! I love batiks--they really work for a frog theme. :D I'd love to see it closer.

    AWESOME!
I am not a frog person, but you might change my mind.
It really is a nice looking quilt.

Thanks to everyone for all the nice comments. Mom did indeed love it!

Catherine: The frog blocks and inside sawtooth border are stitched in the ditch. The plain blocks and outside border I did freemotion using a leaf and vine template from my Quiltmaker CDs. Next time, I'll have to remember to get close-ups.

That's cute - I have a quilt pattern in one of my books of turtles that I'd like to do someday... I'd love to see a close up of one of your blocks!

cute!!! My grandbaby just saw your avatar, and said, "Nana, that's like my movie, cred-a-bles"...
    I said, "what?"
so she repeated...and she pointed to the 'i' on his shirt, "see"...
    me: "oh, incredibles"...
    "yeah, nana, yeah!"

    This is one cute quilt.:D
