    MSQC Christmas Ornament/potholders

These are my latest potholders/hot pads done with silver Rick rack and seam binding for the tops instead of tin foil. I used Christmas pre- quilted fabric for the back and Christmas scrap strips for the front. I also put a couple of layers of batt inside. I plan to make a few more sets for Christmas gifts.

I love these. I am making table runners with matching Hot Pads/Pot Holders for Christmas. I think that I will try making some of these. Thanks for sharing. BrendaK

How very classy they turned out. I love the green theme you used.

I traced my dessert plate and added 1/4 inch seam allowance on cardboard. The cardboard circle measured 9 inches, so finished size was about 8 1/2 inches. The silver top finished size was 2and 1/2 inches. The silver seam binding works well but I found some 7/8 silver ribbon at Walmart that I want to try. It had 1/4 inch matching silver ribbon that I think will work well for the hanging loop.

Really nice. Look nicer with the silver rick rack than tin foil

Mine was the size of the largest dinner plate I could find (it was for a door ornament). You don't need a size or a pattern. This is your chance to just do! Look at the Missouri Star Quilt Store (or something similar) video. The instructions are simple and fun.
