Sorry, I had taken the pic down because it is also a pic of my DIL and I thought everyone who would want to see the quilt would have seen it by now. It had dropped down several pages. But since you all asked so sweetly  ......

I just got back from the Quilt Congress in Little Rock and we spent the whole day yesterday visiting the local quilt stores and I saw this same quilt in one of them, all done up in Christmas colors. It was fabulous!!
We also went to see one of the quilts I've hand-quilted and won a blue ribbon for, hanging in the Capitol Museum. It was thrilling to see it there, hanging with so many other incredible quilts! I got to meet Margaret Miller (she was our guest speaker) and she's a really sweet and funny lady. I bought a package of her AnglePlay templates with patterns, and I can't wait to get started on one. They're really neat!! She's also one of the judges for the quilt show at the museum. Even if the quilt doesn't win a prize, it was juried in so it gets to hang there for the next six months. I'm so pleased. :)

They won't be judging the quilts until next Tues. and we're all home now and won't be going back for the show (it's about a 3½ hour trip, one way). We only went down there for the Quilt Congress. Wish they could have done it all in the same weekend, but that would have been impossible. So, we won't know until sometime next week if it won a prize.
The owner of the quilt has refused to accept a first place with cash prize because if you take that, then they own your quilt, and she's pretty attached to this quilt. It's not my quilt, I only did the hand-quilting on it. She made the top. It's really pretty. I should be able to get a pic of it for you, but I'm not sure how good the quality will be. It's done in light pastel colors, so I'm not sure how well you can see all her beautiful embroidery work.
