oooh LOVELY! That is on my list of quilts to make, but I am going to do one similar to the one on the cover of the book. It's for a friend who wants colors to look like water, forested mountains, and sky.

That is a pretty one. I love the stained glass one too. That may be the one I make for myself. I think there must be endless ways of putting this type of quilt together. That's part of the appeal for me. It's more of a technique than just a pattern.

That is one beautiful quilt. I can only guess how many different fabrics went in to making it. The design is extraordinary and unlike any I've seen. Congratulations!

Lin, that is a gorgeous quilt. I have had the book for quite sometime and the material but haven't made it yet. Her instructions were hard for me to understand. One of the gals on the forum helped me understand them better, so I better get busy. Good job!!! :lol:

Wow! That is gorgeous, you did a great job. The colors are amazing and so cheerful.

The author of the book is a friend of mine. She is hosting a 3 night/4 day quilt retreat in our area and I will be an assistant there helping her out. She is an amazing person and very talented. If you any of you are in South Texas, you should try and make it to the retreat. I believe we only have 2 or 3 vacancies left though!

Thanks Joan. :) I think there were 15 fabrics in this quilt.

I found the instructions to be a little daunting at first too. I just read and re-read until I thought it made sense, then went for it. LOL She does warn that it's a bit challenging to put the braids together because there isn't any way you can alter the length, and no matter HOW careful you are with your 1/4" seam, when you're sewing 200+ strips together, the braids don't wind up exactly the same length, so you have to fudge a bit to make them fit nicely in a row. I encourage you to try it! I think you'll do just fine. :) I can't wait to see yours when you get it done!

That is one very pretty quilt. Like the others I don't think that I have seen that pattern done before. I might have to do some searching and see if I can find that book. You did a wonderful job.
