From what I can see of the picture I took - here is what was used for the block, 4 - 4patch using 2 1/2" strips, 4 ea. of flying geese - 1 set purple & cream and then reverse it cream with purple - attach these together to create the points to make a 4 1/2" patch, the center square was 4 1/2". After putting the block together 12 1/2" unfinished.I created a sashing strip that would create the 9patch in the center. I got the original block from Judy Mathews @ The Patchwork House in Clovis NM as a BOM, but it was with different fabrics.
