Your son looks so much like my son! He's 10 and is also 5'2 120 pounds. He's going to be 10 the end of this month. He is also autistic.

He likes the weighted down quilts and the more weight the more comfy he is. His quilts are flannel and have a blanket used instead of batting. He doesn't like the way my normal quilts feel, but he knows they are important to me too. If he hates the colors I use, he says...well mom, your corners are good. If he likes the colors, he'll say something like "I could look at it all day, but don't put it on me!)

He loves animals and will do just about anything if it means he can see or touch an animal. When the weather is nice, I try to reward him with trips to the zoo. He says that animals are the only people that understand him.

I live for pictures like yours..your son looks perfectly at peace.

Awe, what a wonderful little boy and his dog. I love the picture. It is worth framing. I will have to share this with my mother. She is the biggest dog lover I know and of coarse she adores kids. This is just too precious! It made me smile from ear to ear. Thanks, I needed that.

These are great photos! My son doesn't like the "hard" quilts either. They are the ones with a lot of machine quilting. He likes the softer hand quilted quilts.
