Finally, I finished my project I started last April 2009: Queen size Grandmother's Garden. I pieced together all of the 1501 hexagons by hand and machine-stitched the three layers together. It was a long and hard struggle to fit them in the throat of my Brother PC6500. I bound the straight edge with 3/4-inch wide binding. I feel so accomplished! Yay!

What a remarkable quilt! And you'll always have the joy and pride that you made it yourself! I think every quilt is a journey--most of mine fight me at some point, and when you can finish one and be satisfied with it, that's a real victory! Your quilt is truly lovely!

Joan, Thank you very much for your encouragement! I am thinking of the cathedral window pattern for my next project; I was inspired by Eddie's tutorial on it. Wish me luck!
