Your colors/fabrics are great. I want to do a dear jane in batics (sp?). Is there already a group here? Or, do you know when the group you mentioned is going to start?

there is a christmas block swap going on right now - here's the link

http://www.quiltingboard.com/posts/l...31.page#474249

then in Jan 2010 we are starting a "Sew Along" group and we'll spend the next year motivating each other to get all the piecing of blocks/triangles/corners done.

there will be tips/pics/encouragement so look for the first post about the sew along group in november and then the block pics starting in jan 2010.

Thanks for the info. I should have read further! This will give me time to get more fabric (poor me) and work on another project.

Beautiful fabrics! Did you notice the the original Jane was done with squares arranged in Trip Around the World colorways. Am working on my 3rd Jane and still like the solid background continuous from block to block.

I did notice that the center made a square of same the color but not that it was a trip around the world. I'm going to have to look at it closer. :D

It's an interesting line to follow. I started by noticing the "pinks" around, and then you can definitely see it all. She spent a lot of time laying out that quilt, that's for sure!
