Default My Dear Mother's Quilt Pics

My dear mother passed away last week (March 13, 2012), and she loved sewing, quilting, and other needle work. I wanted to post a couple of her quilts. She hand pieced and quilted them.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. She will live on in your heart for as long as you live, and through her beautiful works of art. May these beatuiful quilts bring comfort to you during this, your time of need.

The one of my mother sitting with the frame and quilting is when she was younger, and her grandson's were little. The one at the bottom is of her recently with my dad. In June they would have been married 60 years. Today dad gave me mom's serger that I know nothing about, but cherish it.

Mom never took many pictures of her quilts at the right time. She sold many of them through the years, and about 5 years ago one to a state congressman, but those I don't have pictures of. I was always telling mom to let me get some pictures before they left.

Condolences on the loss of your mother. Thank you for sharing her work with us. A very attractive lady, who was obviously a talented, prolific quilter and needlewoman.
