    Quilt my Mother Dear made

This was a whole cloth kit, she did cross stitch embroidery, then sandwiched and hand quilted. I have in our guest room bed, when room is not occupied I keep a protective sheet over it. Handmade things really have a special place
in my life and will pass them on to our daughters. The New Year is my time for reflections on things

That is gorgeous. I think you have a solid plan for keeping this quilt preserved in the family.

That is a gorgeous quilt! I have a cross-stitched quilt where I did the blocks. My grandmother did the hand quilting, and it is something that I will treasure forever.

What a beautiful quilt and such a treasure for you. Just knowing your Mother had touched it and you can run your hand over it and feel like you are touching her. How nice.

Beautiful quilt and lovely keepsake! Make a little label for the back so the information stays with the quilt. Your daughters will remember but the next generation may not.

put off till tomorrow what you can do today, and if you procrastinate long enough, you may never have to do it.

That is so pretty! I remember seeing those quilts in stores and in the magazines and would tell myself one day I would make one and so far have not done it. It is wonderful that you are taking such great care of it while using it at the same time. After all, what good does it do to keep in put away all the time?

While visiting my grandmother (she was 90 at the time) and I was getting out some fine china to use, and I asked since it was the good china if we should use it, her response was, "Why not? Who is goodder than we are?" So when my mom got out the nice table cloth she said, "There's no one nicer than we are either." It was one of those memories that we refer to all the time.
