I'll send you my address - I'd love to be the receiver of that quilt - it is fabulous!! gorgeous!!!
What I put on my labels is my name, the quilters name and the date - and many times I also put "Made especially for you" on it -

quote: I hand-embroidered a patch on the back of the quilt with my name, the year I finished the quilt, and the title. Is there anything else people usually include in a label (for future reference)?

i understand that some people put the state and county on the label.

Your quilt is lovely. The border and binder work very well. On my labels, I always put my city and state to show where it was quilted. 100 years from now, if someone wants to try to trace the maker, that kind of information helps.
When a dying man asked his pastor "How long does it take to die?" his pastor's heartfelt reply was "A lifetime." Live life to the fullest, but stop now and then to enjoy the sunset.

Honestly, I mock mine up in powerpoint to see roughly how they'll look. You could also use colored pencils and graph paper. Make one row 2 squares by 2 squares, then the next 2 by 1. Or you could start bigger and have more variety. I gave instructions for this one earlier in the posts. There are only two types of rows, so this one was simple to put together
