Oooooo! Awwwwww! Beatiful.
It's lovely. I would really love to try a Bargello. Was actually thinking of taking some paper to work and trying to make a design I could follow. I like tying, I have done it on a baby quilt that I made it turned out well.
Well done.
I love your quilt and the beautiful koala backing.
Thank you all for the great response! Here is the recipe I followed...

I emailed Bonnie and sent her a picture of how mine turned out and she wrote me back.
Bonnie Hunter was actually in Jacksonville this weekend for the Quilt Fest and I did not even realize it was her until late Sunday afternoon. lol She has a lot more I want to try.
Yes the backing is THICK. I remember snuggling under it as a kid and I know my son will probably snuggle under it now :)
Barb_MO, I am going to attempt your bargello soon. Now that I have this one out of the way and sort of know what to expect ;) I have already printed out your tut!
Your first bargello is really good work , love the koloa
Beautiful quilt.
You did a great job Wendy!!
Love it! How long did it take you?
Looks great! Colors are fantastic and I love the koalas on the back!!!
If this is your first bargello, does it mean that htere are more to come? Nice Job!

Lynn, it took me about a month or so I guess. I had to juggle it with my son :)
Most definitely I will be making another one! I did this one to kind of give me an idea about the technique because I have never done tubes before. This next one I do will from Barb_MO's tut.
Thanks, Barb, I will take you up on your help when I get started on another one. ;)
I really like it! I'm not brave enough yet to tackle that pattern...
Very pretty...I applaud you! I've been admiring the bargello for a while but am intimidated by it for some reason.
You exemplifiy what my quilting motto is- "Use what's on hand and make something beautiful out of it!" congratulations on your terrific bargello, and thanks for sharing.
oh my how beautiful i wish i had the nerve to tackle one like that
The quilt is beautiful. I especially like how the butterflies seem to be fluttering over the fabric!
P.S. The koala blanket is so cute, too!
I think you did a super job on it
