Congratulations on your first - may there be many more! I live in Duncanville and pass through Terrell when I am going home to Louisiana. What is your favorite quilt shop? Lucia

Right now my favorite QS is Country Junction Quilt Store in Wills Point. It's on N 4th St just off of 80. Carol has been very helpful and I'm going to try to take some classes there as my schedule allows.

I grew up in Oak Cliff, so have spent a lot of time in Duncanville!

I had not heard of the shop in Wills Point-I will have to check it out. I have been quilting for about 13 years and find that I am constantly learning new things and improving my skills by taking classes and talking with other quilters. If there is a quilt guild in your area, that is usually a good place to have fun and share quilting ideas.

Just finished the first of three Star/Nine Patch blocks. I cannot get the color exactly right with my camera.

The border is going to be the gold color at the end of the star, maybe with another solid dark green outside that.

I obviously have some work to do on my cutting and getting everything to line up, but this has been so much fun.
