    Joe, great job on first quilt block and using your sewing machine for the first time! I'd put your block in a frame and hang it above your sewing machine to look at for inspiration and guidance each time you sew and see how far you've come. You can see your growth as a quilter from this block to the next and next and before you know it, you've got a whole quilt done!! Keep up the good work!
