I have to admit, I practiced for about an hour or two - I have many placemat sized practice quilts, which I cut and placed between my pots! Luckily I had no problems with the tension. Thank you.
I can always use placemats - thanks for inspiring me to give FMQ a try!

Kim, I just bought a used Bernina machine because the tension was giving me problems on my Janome. I love my Janome for everything else, but it's not great at meandering. Bernina's are known for beautiful stitches. I've done two small wall hangings in the week I've had the machine and it really works great. I even did one of them on a very basic Bernina 150. Something to think about.

Schwanton, your wall hanging came out great! Your stitching looks good and even and the design came out wonderful. You'll smile every time you look at it on the wall now! :D
