    VERY NICE. i've never made a bargello. what would happen if you added a 1/4" to every strip measurement? if the pattern calls for a 1/2" strip you cut 3/4 and so on. of course it will be larger, but will you still get a pleasing design? i'd love to try one, but the multitude of skinny strips scares me.

    Silly question.... Do you need a pattern to make a bargello quilt. They look so simple but...I am afraid to try one... as they are probably very hard...

    I would just change the directional changes from sharp to gradual. You wouldn't have the sharp rises and fall of the curve. There are quite a few pretty bargello that don't have sharp directional changes, still very pretty and can be as dramatic with the right fabric choices.
