My First Quilt Top!
#35
For the strip method I cut all of my 2" center squares and then cut strips of the Light A, Light B, Light C, Dark A, Dark B, and Dark C. (The strips were 2" wide and 44" long.) I took the 2" center squares and sewed them onto the Light A strips (placing the material right sides together). I then rotary cut the sewn pieces from the strip and pressed them. Then you lay those pieces right sides together on Light A again to get both sides of your Light A and do the same thing. Once sewn, cut and pressed, take those pieces and lay them right sides together on your Dark A fabric and keep going (doing two light, two dark) until you have your finished block.
* I hope this makes sense.
Everything came out so even for me. I was so excited because I had really feared none of my seams were going to match up as this was my first quilting experience ever. They all matched up almost perfect!
