Seeing all the old machines made me look for the pictures of my machine which was given to me by my Grandmother. The manual says it is a Sears and Roebuck, Minnesota, Model "A". The certificate inside shows the manufacture date of January 25, 1909.

The cloth pinned around it is what she used for a pin cushion. Still has all the attachments and many of her supplies in the drawer. I have not used it since the 1950's.

Beautiful machine. So neat that you still have the papers from the sale. I ldid a lot of sewing on grandma's treadle machine, even tho our home ec class had modern machines. I am thinking it went in the trash when they cleaned out her house years ago. I would love to have it now.

What a nice machine and cabinet. Glad you get to remember your Grandmother with it.

Such a treasure to have this beautiful family heirloom! My Grandma had an old treadle machine too but I have no idea where it went after her death so I just bought one that looks like what I remember and named her "Gladys" after my grandma.
