    Beautiful colors! Crazy thought, but is it possible to treat the piece like it was being lined (like a garment). That way, you only have to slip stitch the opening.

    Yes,that was a good idea.Maybe the next one i'm thinking about using a narrow strip of fabric,sew one side then sew another side around ,then i could have a piece of fabric for the back and a piece of batting.Sew all around leaving an opening,turn.That way it would look like i put a binding on it.

    Love that! Very pretty. I don't like the hexagon binding either! Time consuming too!
