Isn't great that we are not all the same. I know that the charity group will welcome your quilts but my orphan blocks are for me! I have made and gifted so may quilts in my 67yrs that my orphan block quilts are for me to remember those past events. Or maybe I should say that, that's how I feel now. I am so looking forward to retiring and working on my quilts at my leisure and not by work projects.

Very lovely. Isn’t it fun to use up those orphan blocks?
I just finished a quilt top with orphan blocks. I added sashing and a few other blocks to finish it and it felt good to say ‘bye-bye’ orphan blocks. Most of my blocks were found in donated fabric so they don’t have any meaning to me but I like your thinking Bug Lady.

Very nice job. I would like to know what the block in the top row center is called. I also have a short attention span. I get a quilt almost finished then I have to do something else. I have pulled fabric for a new quilt or 2 while searching for a back for something else.
Last year I tried to finish 2 quilts before I would allow myself to start a new one. Idid pretty good for a while. MY UFO pile is way down. I do have 5 quilts that only need bindings. I will probably bind them when they have a home.

I also have way too many. But, here's what I think . . . . at night when I go to bed, my sewing room is busy 'mating'. Then the next time I go in my sewing room - OMG now they have reproduced!!!!!! This solves the mystery.
