I started this some time ago for my sister. She wants a quilt, blue of course, single design.... To make sure it was what she wanted (I am in AZ, she is in NY) I sent pictures and ended up sending pieces of fabric. Nope, that wasn't the colors she wanted.... so I just put the blocks into a 'later, dude' pile. Then a gal at work was getting married today and I decided I'd 'throw' this together for her. Well, I did manage to get it done, but everything that could go wrong did! Murphy's Law was alive and well around here for 2 weeks. First, I needed more of the light blue fabric, next I couldn't figure out what border I wanted for top and bottom, then I didn't have enough backing fabric, then my timing was off on my quilt machine...... sigh...... So I was up very late the night before I gave it away finishing the binding, BUT I did get it done!

You don't want to be my sister, she still hasn't gotten her quilt yet because she won't tell me what she wants!

I could be your sister, I'm not particular what color or design it is. It is a pretty quilt and a good job.

I love the border you put on it. Carptneter's Star is one of my favorite patterns. My sister asked me to make her a quilt too & I told her she would have to pick out & buy the fabric. I even directed her to some websites having great sales. That was in Jan & she hasn't done it! I'd be happy to make her one, but I am not going to pick out the fabric & have it not be right!

This is one of my favorite patterns and yours is really beautiful. The border really sets it all off. How was it quilted?

Murphy is a very cantankerous old coot. He is always at his best when we are in a hurry.

    Love the border.
