I would decorate my classroom for each holiday and season with quilts. I used the same ones each year and added a few over time. The students looked forward to seeing certain quilts come out year after year. I would save this beauty till next year and then you can decide what to do with it.

You could send it to me and then I could use it with the 4 matching pillowcases I made. Just kidding. Use it every year until you retire and then you can decide to leave it in the library or bring it home for your grandchildren. Cute well made quilt!!

A reading reward for the class that reads the most in a month? each grade/class would READ to see who gets to display it for the next month Teachers and students (and you) would each be proud to see and enjoy!!

Honestly, I would have a hard time parting with it, it came out so beautifully - I think I would hold on to it for at least one more year and then revisit my options !! :)

I like the idea of saving it for the birthday celebration each year. There will always be new students that haven't seen it yet.

Stick to your plan. Once a good thought is there i don't let anything ruin it. It is a wonderful thing to buy books so the kids can read. You will be doing generations a good favor, than just keeping it at home knowing you can make more like it. Trust me good things always happen after that, and nothing is more rewarding than bringing joy to kids (JMHO). ;)

Leave it hanging in the Library if you can, so all can enjoy. Art and literature..a great combo!

I agree. But do you want to keep it for yourself. It would make a great baby quilt gift for a little one in your family.
I also like your idea of auctioning it off so the school can buy more books for the library.

That is a GREAT idea! I'll have to ask a few teachers if they would like to try that.

You are right - I could always make another! I'm thinking that there is a child out there whose day/year/childhood would be greatly enhanced by being the recipient of this quilt.
