Boy, I sat here looking at the first picture and read and re-read what everyone was saying, went back to the picture, then I realized that is wasn't a sewen quilt top!!! Boy, I need my glasses and coffee!!!  I thought tan was part of it also at first.

It depends on the look you want. If you want something more subdued (on the lighter side) or matchy, then I would use the print or even the tan. If I wanted to give it some punch, since the quilt is light and I wouldn't want to take away from the dk blue outline, I would see what your DD next favorite color is and use maybe a med. tone of it.

I couldn't figure why some were suggesting tan so I went back and looked at the pic's. I see it is the color of your flooring and it looks good with the quilt. So maybe tan is the better choice. Look at your pic and you will see it. It really looks good with the tan.

DD voted for tan also, l personally wanted to add a bit of a punch to it (hence the floral), but it will be hers so she gets the power of veto.

Thanks for all of your suggestions.

Nice! The little squares of carpet/flooring that's showing makes me think you should choose something NOT blue. The contrast looks good.
