Stunning!! I bought (at a quilt show) the book "WedgeWorks II". It's a 3-D Mariner's Compass. I got the book out just the other day and have been contemplating if I should tackle it or not (I bought the book when I was very naive).

Wow, very pretty. Never made one. Still not sure if I want to
    tackle it or not.

It is wonderful! I was going to try and make something like that for my bed. I live on a lake and I wanted to make mine in diffrent blues, but we found out Mom has colon cancer a few months ago and I will hold off because I don't know when we will be moving back to Lafayette.

After looking at yours, I still have hope that one day I will get one finished! Thank you for sharing! I love it!
