Default My "mini me" learned to sew yesterday

My neighbor's daughter, Sydney came over yesterday with her new little sewing machine. She learned what the parts of the machine are called, how to sew a straight line and not run over her fingers. She also learned how frustrating it is to have to stop and rethread your needle! LOL It was a great afternoon. She wants to make a pillow for her bed. I think we can manage that Maybe next week!

Sydney and I love the same things - crafts, pink, girly lace and frills, shoes that sparkle or light up and now sewing. Hence, my "mini me". Her Nana just taught her to knit too! I'm amazed how fast she is able to learn and master all these skills. She just recently turned 7.

Thanks for looking.

She is so precious! Great job!! My GD just got the same machine and has been busy sewing with her mom. It is so exciting to see the young ones sewing! Many Happy Hours of Quilting to you both!!

Congratulations mini me and kookalbell! You are a natural at sewing. Keep up the good work.

I taught my nine year old niece to crochet over the Christmas holiday. How fun!
