    WOW.. you've come a LONG WAY BABY!!! great job.. I just read the whole thread through.. I'm thinking about buying some blues to make a blue scrappy one for my mom... see you are inspiring us!!

    And I have a thought - I won't even call it a suggestion because I know you've pretty much decided not to go with strips between.

    I don't know that black is the right color. It's what I thought would work at first for strips, but it looks kind of plain. I would try turquoise. I have decided that turquoise is the magic color for accenting scrap quilts (see the quilt in my avatar). And of course, it goes back to Point #2 of my color theory: Color is good.

    But that may be just my crazy opinion.

    Don't loose hope on finishing this one Kay. It is beautiful and cheery with all the colors. I made one a few years ago and gave it to my sister this past Christmas. She loved it.
