adorable. In addition to sewing, i teach a basic knit and crochet class weekly. There is a 8 year old child who learned crochet and her mom knitting. She watched her mom learning and taught herself, and now she helps her mom out with her knitting.

Grands and Great-Grands are so wonderful. I wish mine were nearby so I could do what you did. Thanks so much for sharing that precious picture. Hope she gets excited and stays that way with crafting.

Isn't it wonderful when they show an interest in what we do! You're passing on a skill she'll take with her through her life. Enjoy these precious moments with her. They grow so fast. Thanks for sharing.

Your granddaughter is really precious. You are getting her started on a rich future. My grandmother started teaching me to embroider, crochet, and sew quilt blocks together when I was about 5 years old.

She is concentrating on her stitching! How cute!! I love to see young sewers. It is a good skil to have and one that they feel proud of what they have done.

How sweet she is. What a lucky girl to have a GGM to teach her how to sew.

Never too young to learn. I started when I was 7! Definitely off to a good start.

It takes real skill to choke on air, fall upstairs and trip over completely nothing .... I have that skill!!!

What a beauty! Thanks for the ideas for a way to start my DGD sewing. She is 4 and likes to sit with me when I sew and push the button to start and stop the machine.
