Just fabric I found at my LQS. I normally don't like to mix Batiks with regular fabric but I loved the off white background with wire. I've seen batik chicken wire fabric but only in blue and maroon. I'm planning on putting the blocks in shadow boxes.

what fun chickens! you said you use heat and bond...then do you turn under the edges or finish them with satin stiching to keep from unraveling when washed? I am new to applique so bear with me!
