You know the problems that you had. No one else does. Don't tell your friend, because they won't know and will love that wonderful looking quilt. It will be used and loved, because you made it and they know you love them enough to do that. Every quilt I make turns out differently than I expected. I give it or use it and move on. Just take the knowledge you gained and apply it to the next quilt. :-)

I love your quilt. It looks great! I'm currently making a similar quilt and having the problem where the squares weren't lining up. I finally started making a little mark on the white so I can ease them over so they line up, although they're not perfect.

It is lovely! Quilting looks fine. If you really dislike the bottom a lot, just cut the crinkly part off - all 4 edges - and rebind.
Personally, I wouldn't do that, but that's because I have learned that most people who are gifted with a quilt don't see the mistakes. Or maybe they're afraid to point them out to me!
