It is beautiful!! By the way, how do you make a design wall? Is it flannel? What holds the pieces on?? As you can tell, I'm new and love the help given here.

What a wonderful space you have! I am jealous! It would be great to have my sewing space on the main floor of the house. I live in a house that is close to 120 years old, and I "could" steal your idea and move my sewing space if everyone else agreed. I feel left out of things in the evenings if I go upstairs to sew and my husband and son are home. I try to keep hand sewn projects in the tv room to work on in evenings. Congrats on your retirement, and enjoy your space

Love your room. I am lucky to have a large room upstairs where I can hide out with my quilting. You gave me some ideas to improve my space. Also, where did you get your model boats? For twenty-four years we were fortunate to have a boat on the Delta in California. I would love to find a model of our boat to give to my husband for our anniversary.
I haven't done any research as yet, but if you have some short cuts on ideas, I would appreciate your help. GiGi
