I also plead guilty, especially when I'm trying to find a certain fabric (I do a lot of applique).

LOL...looks like mine this morning. I have no idea how, or why I make such a mess. It's easy to put things back, that you are not using, right?...

I have been cleaning since MOnday. I finally found my table. My table is usually used as a dumping ground before the holidays and it was piled pretty high. I have two bags of garbage and another bag of paper recycle. That is just the start.

    Good luck everyone.

The love of my life likes to do this too....probably has something to do with the fact that the door is always closed and therefore the mess is out of sight! I actually have to wade through all the stuff she tossed in there right now to get in the door....but my big chore for today is to straighten it all out and get ready for my next quilt! Glad to know I'm not alone in all of this!

the Fun part will be re-visiting all your fabric & goodies and making those kinds of plans that only quilters make.

I don't understand how someone can trash such a lovely work area. I am a very orderly person and this would drive me crazy. You should see where I sew. My diningroom table with a cabinet behind me and hope chest with containers in color co-ordinated. I would give anything to have such a lovely area. I don't want to be critical just more appreciative of the space.

My sewing room is the dining room off the kitchen. What an easy place to toss stuff I want out of the way. My goal as well is to get it picked up.

How about some before and after pictures??

My sewing room was also a dumping ground during the holidays and now that I have cleaned house for the past three days, it is a sewing room again. What a nice feeling this morning to walk in and it is tidy again and ready to begin the new projects in 2011. My only consolation is that my sewing room is at the back of our home and I just close the door and no one but me knows what a mess is behind that door.
