I've had some great results using three borders...1st and 3rd from same fabric...I'd use that black print for these. The 2nd is the narrowest of the 3 and it could be any of the other fabrics or all of them except the black. The 1st is larger than the 2nd but smaller than the 3rd. I think of it as "sealing" the patchwork, "floating" the accent, and "framing" the big picture. Hope that makes some sense...it really needs a photo, I know...sorry...not a skill I've mastered yet. OH, forgot to say how much I like your top...I really like your top!

My first impression when I looked at the quilt is that a red border would be perfect, thinking that you were only going to be doing one border. After reading everyone's comments, I agree that it would be much nicer with at least 2 borders, maybe 3. Red and black would be great colors to compliment the quilt. Nice job!
