Beautiful french braid. Stitch in the ditch is what I did.
This was my 3rd attempt at making a quilt. I was very much a beginner. I had a terrible instruter who never said a work to me about bias cuts. I had v ery wavy strips, it was awfull. I cried to say the least, felt defeated but thanks a group of wonderful women in my guild. they helped me take it apart and cut and trim to the point I now have a beautiful quilt.

gorgeously green! prettiest braid yet! btw, i'm mostly irish AND my birthday is st paddy's day. no wonder i'm gonna make my braid green, too. how 'bout fmq shamrocks in the squares across the middle and in the corners, and just run a fancy decorative line sid on bothe sides of the lt green sashings and around the border?

Funny you should ask this..I am currently working on one with that same pattern.
I am making each one of those braides a big feather....and in the center vein..I am pebbbling. In the big center squares she wanted me to outline the flowers she had fussy cut....I hope that helps you.
