Thanks. I've heard it called the throat also. That was a great explanation.

Was searching machine frames and found your photo & directions, I'm off to Lowes in the morning ...mine will probably be smaller I dont think I can get a 10' pvc pipe home in my van. Will also be putting together myself as I dont have a DH. Am so excited because this will really help finish Christmas projects (wallhangings, tablerunners and lap quilts).

Thanks again for sharing!!
:) :)

Pam, see if you can tie it to your van roof? Or maybe someone at the store will cut them for you!

Before I was using the pieces of wood, for the frame to rest on, and it was not a lot of fun. DH just went yesterday and got me 3" pvc, which he cut into 3' lengths, to use instead. Which I believe is what the guy with the Flynn Frame uses. I'll be trying it out tomorrow, as I have two to get done by Saturday.

If there's anything more we can help you with, give a yell!!
:D :D

Fabulous job Mollie.

My husband is going to make me one of these soon. We are in the process of a minor redo of my sewing room.

Is he going to make them and sell them to people that can't do it.

I love your airplane quilt where did you get the pattern.

THAT is INGENIOUS! I could do that here at my house where I'm really limited on space.
Thanks.
