LouLou, Joykey - Thank you, and here's some better pictures of it. And one of me doing it, to show you just need to slide the pvc pipe/quilt roll around.... :D Oh - and my DH cut the wooden end thingys 20".

And thank you AmandasGrandma, Red Garnett, Teacup, and Marcia!!!

And a picture of the quilt when I got done with it. Notice it's not a close up? lol!!!!! I don't think it turned out too bad considering it's my first time FMQ, except for two small doll quilts.

And I didn't break any more needles, so am guessing it was just me going too fast. But on the last row, my machine developed a weird noise.... it kept sewing though, thank God. This machine is about 23 yrs old, and is the only one with a darning foot and drop feeds! I'm going to check and see if it's just full of lint, etc.

Thank you Suzic46 and SewJoyce!!! :D

Suzic46, tell your DH it really took less than 1/2 hour to do it. Really was only cutting out the holes in the end wooden thingys. And he did help me tape the leader cloths to it. :D

Thanks, Klue!!!!! :D
He watched the video this morning on the Flynn frame site, and pondered a bit.... He said I would still have to pin/baste, as I'd only have the two rollers. I told him I can live with that! lol!!!!!!!!!

when i load my quilt on the flynn, the first thing i do is lay out either basting stitches or SITD so i can pull out the middle rod.

my sole goal is to remove the middle rod so i can roll the quilt back and forth however i wish.

when the middle rod is in place you can only move the quilt forward. you can't roll backwards because the sandwich has been sealed and there's no way to roll the quilt back onto the 3 rods.

you're really going to enjoy it.
