Thanks Jan! The pattern is called "Anchors Away" and it was in the June '09 American Patchwork and Quilting mag. The pattern calls for an 85 1/2 x 102 1/2 inch sized quilt, but I made it smaller to finish about 51 x 68, which I am glad I did because the blocks were tedious! I had to add an extra strip to the log cabin block because they did not measure the right size but other than that, the quilt came together quite nicely!

Thanks everyone for your wonderful sentiments! She is my 1st niece (and nephew for that matter!) and she came to visit me a few times while I was in college and attended my college graduation with her younger sister when she was only 4 years old, so it is super fun to see her in college!

I've already told my other niece, who is a sr. in high school this year, to let me know when she chooses a school so I can get to work on her quilt too!
