    That is one pretty top!! I love that and think that the border sure does a lot for it. I loved the first picture then I saw the second and was hooked! Love it!!

    I always say --- a quilt (or a painting or whatever) is always ugliest until just as it's done.

    love what you did w/ the border...
    curious about the yellow, what line is it from or did you just pick it up???
    and does the pic represent the true shade of that yellow?

    yes, the color is golden yellow and it did translate well in the photo. I bought it at Joanns earlier this year, but sorry to say I do not know the line it is from. What looks to be blue in the photo is actually purple and all the fabrics are the same value, but for some reason the purple looks blue and much brighter.

    Very pretty, love the pieced border. I often piece my strips to do the binding and love the way that looks also.
