"Old" Quilt finally in use and pink sampler wip

The first quilt has been finished except for the hanging sleeve for a few years. I finally added the sleeve this weekend and it's finally hanging at the end of my living room. It's the first in a series of "hotel" quilts - pieced in hotel rooms while traveling for work. It will eventually be rotated with a new quilt made from a pattern that I found this weekend and just have to make. Posted here - http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...a-t175738.html

The second pic is one row of the pink, scrappy sampler that I'm working on. One row down, three to go. The border is also pieced and it will finish as a queen-sized quilt but I think it will be the one that I snuggle under while watching TV.

    Thanks for checking them out!

ETA - the colors aren't right at all! The stars in the quilt are a deep red, like the lamp shade.

Thanks for all of the kind words!

I never noticed, until looking at the uploaded pic, that I'm not happy with the way the "border" looks. The pattern had two options, the one that I used and one that had the spikes facing the other way, which extended the middle section out to the edge of the quilt. I didn't like the way that made the corners look, so chose the other. Now I'm second guessing myself. Oh well....
