    No don't know thae pattern but you are right not to cut it up. It would be a great loss. Congratulations on such an heirloom

    Not sure what the pattern is, but it looks like it is still in very good shape. I would be doing what you are. Put some new binding on it and use it. I think the only time you should cut them up is when they are worn and you can still get some use out of the smaller pieces.
